Dash Storage Compartment

I have a 2018 Precept. The dash vibrates so much that the sliding cover for the dash storage area will not stay closed...I have to tape it closed. Is there a mod kit to add a positive locking latch? Thanks for any help you offer.

We had the same problem. I attached a pair of 3M velcro picture hanger strips on the front of the cover where it meets the dash. So far, so good.

If you get behind the radio compartment there are two wood supports for the dash. One of mine was not making contact from lousy factory installation. On second attempt I used industrial Velcro and silicone to secure the top of board to dash for no squeaks. Also added screws at bottom base of board. Dash pretty firm now.

Thank you for this! As soon as I recover from a current medical issue, I will remove the radio and look. This looks a very likely problem I may have and explains a lot. Thanks again for taking the time to respond
