Inverter

No matter what I am plugged in via shore or generator, my inverter shows battery. I have a xantrex freedom x 2000 and no matter what it has the green light on battery. Any ideas?

You don't need to use your inverter when on shore power or generator. Turn the inverter off and the green light will go out.

I asked xantrex about this problem and they said with this inverter it should be lit up at the top green light when on shore. Suggested a wire problem.
