Jayco Precept Engine Access

I am reposting this thread again since for some reason it did not get into circulation.

Anyway, I now have a 2017 Jayco Precept and I am one of those types that likes to be able to inspect the top of the engine. I admit that the only time I have ever had to really get at the top of an RV's Ford V-10 was when a rat made a nest in the engine's "V" during seasonal storage.

Every one of my previous motorhomes had some sort of clip-fasteners that could be unsnapped allowing the engine cover to be simply lifted off the floor. However, with my Jayco Precept, the engine cover appears to be not only bolted on but also sewn down. One could get the impression that Jayco did not want you messing with the engine. It appears it would take quite a feat to disconnect the cover not only from the floor but also from the dash.

Has anyone removed the engine cover off a Precept's engine and what steps does it take and how difficult is it?
