Lemon Law

Anyone familiar with how the Lemon Law works for motorhomes ? Ours is going in for the third time to fix front end vibration that starts at 60-70 mph. Changing 4 out of the 6 tires didn't do it. Service tech at Tampa RV said it feels like there is still a tire out of round.

There is a federal lemon law for RV's but you are going to have to hire an attorney and spend who knows how much money to get anywhere. If it was me I would send Jayco by registered mail a copy of every piece of the paper trail you have and ask them what are they going to do to make it right before you hire an attorney. Jayco seems to step up to the plate most of the time, most of theses problems seem to be the dealer not being interested in fixing your problem or unable to correctly fix the problem.

I would get it to a proper front end shop that is well versed in servicing medium duty and heavy trucks. The RV dealer is acting as a parts changer because they don’t have a clue about front end geometry, hence why you’ve bought 4 tires.

As repacs0103 said but I would take to a ford truck shop set up for tires and front end work and see what happens. Leave RV dealer out. If Ford problem they'll fix, if something else pay for it and send jayco the bill.
My independent truck tire dealer tried to screw me out of a $500 wheel. There was nothing wrong with it.

The front end/tire repairs were made at one of the two Ford dealerships in Florida that works on RV's. There was a RV dealership that did warranty work on chassis issues but they were told by Ford to stop. So we're kind of stuck.

Bummer, then I would go to Ford and have scheduled a review by the area manager. Don't know if I have wording exactly correct. I think you have to do this in any case towards a lemon. I've seen it work and not work. Sometimes they just side with dealer and sometimes authorize further repairs.

Looks like you've taken proper steps so far.

not sure if this will help but have it aligned (maybe you did) and have all the tires road force balanced if possible...

otherwise there maybe a loose component.. I know fords where noted for having crappy shocks.. have them checked as well my 2010 F250 needed new shocks after i bought it with 300 miles on it.. 3 of the 4 wouldn't extend when compressed... it was a known problem.. I just bought new ones.. it wasn't worth the hassle taking it in under warranty to get the same crap

Lemon laws are only for functions like steering, braking, etc... usually not vibration if that was the case GM would have bought allot more of their 2014/2015 pickups back...

good luck..
