Manual Slide Operation

I see that many companies have a manual way to retract slides. Does anyone know if the newer, 2017 - 2019, Alante slides have a manual retraction feature should the motor fail?

i asked Jayco for the info via contact us request and they sent some instructions/screenshots for the Greyhawk slides. Not an easy task for the Greyhawk. You had to remove the couch or at least pull up the raised floorboard under couch, and look for a hole. Inside the hole was the motor, then you get a socket wrench and turn the motor by hand. Hopefully never get in that position, but wanted the info just in case it ever happened. If no one here has done it, I'd send your VIN to Jayco and they should be able to provide some rough instructions.

I believe, at least on the Precepts that the motor is accessed thru one of the pass-thru's. On the Precept there is a black plastic cover that protrudes down into the storage space where the motor access is.

I will get my Alante back from the dealer next week and will do some exploring to see if I can find access to the slide motors. Camping World, Salt Lake City is fixing the issues from my shakedown trip, ten items and all pretty trivial. They got everything taken care of in six days. Now having a Roadmaster steering stabilizer installed before heading on our next trip. We will be going from Salt Lake to Vancouver, WA to have Roadmaster install a rear stabilizer bar. Then 4 days in Portland before heading home. Will evaluate the steering on the way up and then the addition of the sway bar on the way back. I am not unhappy with the handling but everyone says these two items make a world of difference. Will let you all know how they work for me.

On my Alante the bedroom slide motors are under the bed, and all I have to do is unplug the motor which unlocks the slide. On the dinette slide the motors are inwall at the bottom, The controller is also under the bed, making it easy to access. Takes two men and a boy to push them back in.
