Power Entrance Step not working

Hello
I have a 2020 Precept 29V and the entrance step quit working. I’ve checked the magnet and switch. Any other suggestions???
Thank you, Roger

My steps started to lag and then stopped. I went into my bag of various manuals and found the one on the steps, lubricated them as indicated and they’ve been working since then. Started to jerk again last trip, so i lubed again and it went away. If its not electrical that might help.

If those are the Lippert Kwikee Electric steps then be advised, they're notorious for having problems. Mine are on Problem Number 3 over the last five years. First the motor died, then the controller seemed to be having dementia, and now the motor appears to be dying again.

Good news is that it's all DIY friendly.

That is a great video! Thank you for sharing. There is some great information on repairs, operation and maintenance. Everyone should watch it even just for information.
Thanks, Roger

It could also be a fuse or breaker. It was a hidden breaker in my Seneca/Accolade. Had to remove an unlabeled access panel to get to it. When it tripped the stairs stopped as well as the power seats and turn signals. Good luck

There is also an in-line fuse near the motor, and on my 2018 31UL one of the self-resetting fuses in the battery compartment. Also disconnect and clean the step ground wire and reconnect. I ended up having to change my motor, didn't take very long. Don't pay dealer prices, these are also used for many car/truck windows, you can find them on-line. Make sure to order the right model.
