Precept Tank Heaters

The 2017 Precept Owner's Manual (p 123) mentions 120 VAC heaters for the fresh water and waste tanks and 12 V heaters for the supply and drain lines (If so equipped). An email from Jayco says the "120 V" mention in the Owner's Manual is a typo, but since freeze protection down to -11 deg. F. is specified, it seems unlikely to me that a 12V heater would be sufficient. It also says shore power or generator power are required for the "120 VAC" heaters to operate.

Does anyone have these heaters? If not how well do the 12V heaters work? Are the tanks insulated? What's the R value? What low temperatures have you experienced and with what results.

We need a unit that can handle +10 to +20 deg. F. without too many problems, for a few days here or there, as we'll probably get caught out in the cold occasionally.

thanks for any help,
David

P.S. The local dealer said it's illegal to use heaters or insulation around the water and waste tanks, so he's not much help.
