Question for precept jayco owners. We just bought a precept and having issues with Satellite. Plugging dish into outside hook up and then plug into hook up inside of cabinet, but will not wotk. But if we hook dish straight to hook up inside cabinet inside works fine. Anyone experience this issue ?
I've heard/read two possible issues:
1. check if sat cables are even connected, you'd have to pull the wall plates off.
2. esure ant amp signal boost is shut off.
i've heard of the cable and sat being hooked up backward. In my case the sat connection from the wet bay was behind the wall plate. Make sure you're not connecting to the roof sat hookups. My suggestion would be to contact Jayco and ask them for the wiring diagram for your vehicle for satellite and cable. Once you have it it will help you identify the wiring properly.

I have a 2021 precept. How do I hook up dish tv without connecting coax in cabinet ,dealer
Dealer does not know. I have to leave the cabinet door open to watch tv.
With the Greyhawk in order to us DISH or other Sat. some wiring has to be changed around. I had to call Jayco and ask. They send me an e-mail with the rewiring process to use the DISH system. You may have to do the same or if your lucky someone here with have the schematics for the change. because of the splitters in the system the hookup is more convoluted.

The Dish Wally (and other Dish receivers) make use of RF remotes, not Infrared, so you can close the cabinet and it still work.
