2015 34RSBS Window Shades Upgrade

So, this is post #2 of our rig's upgrades. The stock window shades on the tension strings did not seem to last very long. The strings on the shades we used most often seemed to fray over time, becoming essentially useless and we resorted to plastic clips to manually keep them up, useful but not very nice looking and kind of a pain. We paid to repair a couple but as of this year, five of the 10 shades in our rig were inop so we got a vendor from the Phoenix area to quote us on repair vs replacement with roller shades. With a quote of just under $1200 to replace all our windows with roller shades, to include two double rollers (back wall large window and dinette window), we jumped at that price and couldn't be happier. The bedroom ones are extra dark color to prevent light from coming in. Why didn't we do this sooner??!!

Did they have to take the valance down for the install and then put it back up? Trying to do this myself and it is very hard to reach up under there.
