adding fireplace to 25RB

Hey y'all. The good news is that my wife and I are going down to Blue Compass tomorrow putting lots of money down and signing half our life away on a 2024 model 25RB trailer. Bad news that she really wants a fireplace but the dealer says they don't really do that AFTER the camper has already been delivered. I said ok. I'll do it myself. Here's my question:

After measuring that space to be sure it will fit, what's keeping me from ordering a Furrion 30 inch fireplace from Amazon (link below), removing the cabinet doors and small middle support piece, drilling a small hole through the wall into the pantry, plugging the fireplace into that pantry outlet and attaching the fireplace to the frame of the cabinets? Add some pretty black trim piece to the outside, turn the thing on and warm our little tootsies.

Am I missing some important step here or is it really that simple?

It's really that simple. Just check out the storage space you will be doing without.
Once I put a portable fireplace in a previous rig and when not in use, it was always in the way. We use ours all the time and it is a nice addition.

Thanks Craig but my wife would never approve of such trickery.

Yesterday, I asked the dealer about what model they would have installed if the manufacturer would have done it. The guy at the parts dept said Furrion. So I just ordered the Furrion 30-inch model (the one with the little crystals at the bottom) for SWMBO. I'll keep y'all posted on the install but I foresee very little issues. Amazon says delivery on Saturday and the dealer says the 25RB will be ready to pick up by Monday afternoon. Wish me luck.

It’s really not a hard project. We use ours all the time in the shoulder season. For the 2021 25RB version you lose very little cabinet space. I happen to have a 50 amp rig so there were a few open breaker spots in the panel. I ran a dedicated line direct to the fireplace.

We also did this in our 2022 25RB. It took half a day to do the install. There are many posts about this. Do a quick search and you see lots of examples. It is an awesome mod and my wife and I really like having it installed.

Here's a link to our previous post that includes a couple picks of our fireplace install:

Thanks. Yes, your post and picture was my inspiration for attempting the mod myself. I've already got the Furrion brand fireplace a few days ago. I had to cut about 1/4 inch off the top of the cabinet space to allow the fireplace to fit flush against the wood. I've now added support for the mounting screws and the wife said she would pick out a black trim to attach after we add the glass front panel. I would say I'm 50% complete with the installation. I'll try to post pics soon.
