Controller Upgrade

So yesterday I upgraded my solar controller from a cheap basic Go Power PWM 30A to the Renogy Rover 40A with BT. Easy install. Was working great all day.
This morning the BT has no power going to it! I unplugged, replugged and nothing. Any ideas??

If you did nothing but wire in the new controller to the old wires, solar array, batteries, switches etc. than I would assume the controller may have a loose connection or you got one bad out of the box.

I would test the voltage coming into the box from the solar, good? then I would pull out each wire, re-insert and tighten. Still nothing? call the MFG.

This assumes that all the fuses are good, switches did not fail or accidentally loosened wires in the process.

Guess I wasn't clear....the controller works fine! The BT-1 module stopped working. It has no power. I have tried everything i can think of but no power. It worked fine all day and night, this morning nothing.

I have the same controller and love it. I did once have a problem with the BT not being discoverable. Thought it may had unplugged itself after I had moved some items in the area but it was still plugged in. I unplugged and plugged back in and it worked from then on. No idea what happened.

One quirk of this BT is that I have to "add device" for it every time I want to use it. This is only after I have been far enough away from the rig to lose the connection. Apparently it doesn't remember what it previously was connected to.

You mentioned it wasn't getting any power to it. How can you tell? I don't remember a light on it.

Its the newer BT-1, it has a power light and a connected light.
I can't get a connection since it has no power. I hope somebody has some idea about this.

I'm guessing there is no way to fix this and I need to just replace it

Since you just installed this controller, isn't it under warranty?

Yes but it isn't the controller and I'm a full timer so its hard having things shipped. That's why I was hoping there was a fix.
