I use a few over sized cup hooks. Have them mounted to the overhead fram work in my pass through cargo hold. Works good. A few times when we have reached our destination one end has fallen down. Been traveling for about 7 years that way.

Add note; forgot about the big surf rods and reels. They are stored behind the J sofa in pieces.

I've seen a couple guys have built rod holders similar to these that people have on thier boats. The ones I've seen use pvc for the tubes attached to a board that attaches to the rear bumper.

I've been kicking around building one myself but haven't done it yet.

So far I took a 6” pice of plastic pipe cut it to the length of my bumper. I then glued cap ends that unscrew. I have to paint it black. It is white now and stands out. Not good!
Tomorrow I have to get it put on the bumper. When I get it done I will take pictures of my pole holder. If weather lets me.
