Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer suggestion!

Looking for a good indoor/outdoor thermometer. Any suggestions with links to purchase would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check Amazon. There is a long list of various brand names including weather stations.

I thought maybe someone on here had experience with one that they are really happy with and could recommend. I don’t trust Amazon reviews, I think they are skewed. Thanks.

I use Accu-Temp which works for me, just keep the outside censor out of the Sun (e.g under a wheel well)

Truth is a Norm but not a norm of our world, there are samples enough!

When we camped for a couple of weeks in one spot, I tucked the outdoor sensor up in the area of where the entry steps go. Needless to say after 2 weeks of great camping, I forgot about the sensor and drove home. Had to buy a new thermometer. [emoji849]

I think you are correct but I have purchased many, many things from Amazon including a couple of indoor/outdoor thermometers using brand names, like Accu-Temp and had very good results.

What does not work, from Amazon I send back and try something else. That is what is nice about the 30 day return.

I got this one from La Crosse given they have app/wifi capable w/ external
sensor for outside.

https://www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/v10-th

Also has direct connect to NWS signals.

Works great, but does require decent WIFI connection if you want to
use the iphone app to see weather station data...

I just have a simple AcuRite thermometer something like this one. The outdoor sensor I just hang outside the door while at camp, from a command hook that is next to the door. Friends place the sensor on top of a tire. I have considered zip tieing it under my propane tank cover.

I zip tie it to the tree outside the site. Gives me a better reading that close to the RV with heat radiation.

I like the Ambient Weather Multi-Channel thermometer.

I've got one attached to the outside of the trailer with velcro so that I can take it off before traveling. Energizer lithium batteries make it useful for below freezing temps.

I lost an outdoor sensor one time. I also put it on top of one of the tires. I forgot to grab it when I moved to a new camping area. When I realized my mistake I returned a few hours later. Unfortunately, the vultures had already swooped down to scavenge. It was nowhere to be found.

I have one similar to Jag’s and it’s worked fine for the 4-5 years we’ve had it. I made a hanger from a coat hanger and I hang it from the pin box. If I put it on top of a tire or attached it to a tree I’d be in the market for a new one after our next trip.

Just arrived

I just purchased this off Amazon. It's at home now but plan to use it during the camping season. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z6F5S2M...ing=UTF8&psc=1

I bought this one a few months ago. Finally got it set up. There's an extra screw on the plastic trim cover over the tires that I hung the outdoor sensor on, using a short length of wire.

It's not calibrate accurately, though. I have another hygrometer in my trailer that's very accurate, and the Thermopro is showing the humidity at 8 points higher than the more accurate Acu-Rite thermometer/hygrometer I've been using for a couple of years.

I took a block of wood and screwed it into the underside of my stairs. I added a couple screws to hold the sensor in place. I never forget it because when I flip the stairs, there it is.

I saw a post on a different forum somewhere and they used something similar to this or maybe even this exact one. What they did was mount it with Velcro next to the front door under the awning. And when they leave it is in plain sight and can put inside. If I hung one in a tree not only would I forget to get before I left I would probably forget what tree. I hate old age.
