Jack pad storage
Decided I had enough of my jack pads sliding around in the storage compartment. Since I have a Seneca I invested in substantial pads from Bigfoot Outrigger Pads ( https://www.outriggerpads.com/produc...-x-15-x-1-5-2/), and when those things slide around, look out! Former cardboard box I kept them in lasted one day on the road!
So today I constructed and mounted a box to hold them in place. Just some leftover 1/2" and 1/4" plywood glued and nailed together then bolted through the compartment wall with stainless carriage bolts to hold the box in place. You have to slide them in level and then they sit behind the lower lip preventing them from sliding out on their own.
If it works well during my upcoming trip I will take it down afterwards and paint the box with some gray spatter paint, just because I am picky that way!

Oh, now that is seriously cool. My pads aren't near that large but I'm definitely going to build a smaller version of your design. THANKS!
You also just reminded me that I need to put ropes on my chocks. Been meaning to do that for months.

Very nice idea. Now I'll have to do something like this for my pads.
Thanks,
Dave...

Lockhart. I notice what looks like a blower in there.
I assume you use that to clear the top of your slideouts?
I'm interested in what people have rigged up to blow off the slideouts. Extensions? Gutter cleaners? Etc

I have slide covers installed. I use the blower to clean off my patio rug before putting it away. ------ Keen eye though!!

Regarding cleaning off the top of a slide - I just did a bit of research.
HomeDepot sells gutter cleaning kits for Shop Vacs.
The size of the pipe (2 1/2 inches) is the same as where the nozzle attaches to my Ryobi 18v leaf blower. I may have to use duct tape to hold it on but I think I can make a 6ft attachment with a 90 degree angle on top to blow off the top of the slides while standing on the ground. I ordered one - if it works I'll start a new thread and post photos.
