removing top double bunk

We are thinking of getting the 2017 Eagle HT Fifth Wheel 29.5BHDS

We don't have kids, but we do bring friends! Thinking for two grown adults crawling in would be silly, if they are sharing a bed.

So we are going to take the top bunk out so adults can sit up.

has anyone taken a bunk out?

wondering if they are glued in or just screwed in?

We were hoping we could just order it without but our dealer said we couldnt

Thanks

Welcome to the JOF.

Eagles are a very popular model and lots of folks like to 'mod' their units. A member that has done or considered doing this will probably show up before too long.

It should come out pretty easily. Just pull off the top layer as it is just stapled together and go from there. You will end up with some holes in the wall but you could easily cover those with a nice shelf or something running the perimeter.

I cut a access hole through our top bunk if you want to see some pictures of the construction.

Different model trailer but the construction should be similar.

Cheers
