TV Cabinet Storage Access

I have a 321 RSTS and got tired of not being able to access the massive storage behind the TV with that factory TV mount.. So i built a cabinet door to match as close as i could ($25) to mount a Harbor Freight ($15) TV mount to. Got some cheap ($20) 30 pound gas shocks and a $10 LED strip from Ebay and mounted TV to the hinged platform on the existing cabinet frame. So $75 latter i now have an EZ lift TV mount to utilize all that space.

I like that idea. Am getting ready to make an adapter to put our 43” tv in our 33TSBH. Jayco can’t figure out to make the tv space to match current tv sizes. The 32” tv looks way too small, and the 43” is about 4” too wide, but horizontal it would fit. Same as in the bunk house, but the 32” will stay there. I was going to extend out a shelf with a lip the tv would set on, and a couple of latches on the top to hold the tv flush to the opening. But you eliminate the area behind the tv which did bother me. I may need to try to duplicate your idea!

Very good mod. How much space is back there?

We've seen a lot of tt's with a huge dead space, behind the TV, and no access.

On the 33RBTS, only about 4 inches deep. But also allows easy access to the plug and cords. We do keep the remotes there.

quite a bit of space. Two shelves 12 inches deep by 44 inch long. Got my WiFi set up back there and my KODI box for the TV... Also adds EZ access to the TV connections. I'm pretty happy with the set up. Home Depot has the identical shelving trim, so matching everything up is pretty easy.
