Jayco Alante 27a 2021, advice on how to improve ride & tighter steering

Has anyone done new shocks? Or fixed the horrible steering?

Hi Evan- Check out the posts on the class C site regarding this. The same tricks will apply to your chassis- Upgraded sway bars-steering dampner-proper alignment-track bar-

Just returned to Florida from NC. At higher speeds 60 to 70 there is a vibration in the RV. The dashboard vibrates like it is going to fall off. Other vibrations throughout the whole RV. Draws flying open etc.
The ride is terrible. Talk about feeling the road. I don't know what J-Ride is, but it sure doesn't give a good ride. Anyone else have problems like these with the 27A?

Hi Evan- before recent retirement, vehicle suspension design, and upgrading was one of the hats I wore. While your MH is likely a Ford F53, all the fixes I and others have done to E450 and F550 chassis would apply to yours. You may find a company close to you than can help. I can recommend the Henderson’s in Grants Pass Oregon, they sell a kit for yours that will help a lot. IMHO I would do all at once instead of one at a time, I think you will be glad you spent the money. Here is an interesting video

It has recirculating ball steering from the 1950s. I know it feels like a kids go-cart with rope wrapped around the steering column then going to the wheels. Your lucky you have a f53 chassis and not the f450 chassis. I had a f450 chassis a few years ago and the f53 feels like a sports car compared to the f450. I put a steering stabilizer on the front and in the back I'm going to install a rear track bar and see how that works. Freightliner uses rack and pinion on some of their models I wish Ford would do that
