Snow???

Only an hour and a half away from home and guess what we ran into? Good thing my brother was going to be home tonight. CalTrans doesn't let you tow while chain controls are in effect and I really didn't want to. However, I was prepared and had my chains with me.

My guess in somewhere in the South Lake Tahoe/Meyers area...how close am I? Thats got be 90 min from Carson City.

All week the forecasters predicted a slight chance of rain today in Central CA -- we got dumped on. More rain than I have seen all year. Snow elevation was pretty high though, don't think we got much snow in my part of the Sierra, just enough rain melt what was still there.

Pollock Pines just east of Placerville, Ca. We are on our way home from Pismo Beach and got rained on like crazy coming up the 5 in Stockton and Sacramento. Should be fun drive rest of the way home when they lift the restrictions.

Well you are a lot better off than the Donner Party. Have a safe trip home.
