Post 195RBW Closet Light

Why was there not a light in the closet? It's a dark cave. Fortunately, this problem can be fixed!

TOOLS NEEDED:
You'll need to pull your bathroom vent trim and light fixture first. (Reference my Hengs bathroom fan installation thread for directions). In the framing around the bathroom vent, drill one hole toward the front of the trailer, and one toward the passenger side. Now go to the closet and drill the hole saw at the center just forward of the closet rod. Don't go behind the rod, there's a wiring harness there! Now fish your wire from the closet to the bathroom vent. Once you have pulled the wire, route it to the front facing hole and fish it to the bathroom light fixture opening. Use wire taps to access power. Reinstall bathroom light and vent trim. Tie in light fixture wires to the wire you routed. Install using 4 self tapping screws. You are done! Looks factory, doesn't it?

Another good write up.
No light is because they are cheap and it is cost cutting. The space isn't too huge and can be mostly lit from the light near the bed (at least in our 17).

Why not a couple of instant-on battery-powered stick-on lights from wally-world? About $4.00 each. They come on automatically when the door is opened.

Lol... I wanted to use the big battery that comes with the trailer.

No AA batteries to leak or remember to change. <grin>
