2013 228 unlock stove vent

I am quite familar with the product line having traded in a 2010 x213, but this new style stove vent with the half moon cover is perplexing. with the cold air temperatures I don't want to break anything. so if could help how to unlock these 2 tabs. I would appreciate it.

Hey guys the vent is a little stubborn to get to open, the tabs are stiff, they will pop loose just feels like they are going to snap. I had the same concerns when we open ours the first time. Good luck.

I agree Lsuduke. When we get to the campground i pull the vent open past the catch. It still closes with gravity but will open when the fan is turned on. Kinda works like a dryer vent to keep the bugs out.
