New to RVing
Hi all. We bought a 2006 Jaco J Feather 29N. The trailer is in great shape but
" no radio ". Can anyone tell me my options on what to do. All the wiring is there and am missing only the base unit. There are 4 speakers in the ceiling and was told that it was surround sound.:hihi:

Welcome to the forum. If you have all the wires then you must have power lines. Once you find out what power is available then you can decide if it is 110V or 12V. Normally radios are 110V and this makes the selection very wide.
Good luck on the search from here.

You could go as simple as mounting a car radio with cd player. 12v is whats behind mine

I am pretty sure the radio is 12V (like any car radio). What you can do is email service@jayco.com with your VIN and request a wiring diagram for your unit. That will confirm it's 12V. Then you either shop the standard replacement radio or find a suitable car unit that would work. I'd opt for the latter since it's likely to be cheaper and more function rich. You'll just need to work out the best way to mount it in that blank space.

If you want something to fit the existing hole, they sell RV radios on Ebay, here is an example. http://www.ebay.com/itm/JENSEN-AWM91...ht_1387wt_1139
You could also use a car stereo and fill in around it with wood and matching stain. Most car stereos available for the same price or even less are better then the RV radios IMO.

You have a perfect oppertunity to install an automotive radio. If you boondock you won't need a generator to listen to tunes.

Something else you may want to consider is by using one of the newer models of car radio, most come with a USB port on them now. That means, you simply copy your tunes, audiobooks, or podcasts to the flash drive and plug it into the radio for hours of entertainment, even if you are out of range for AM/FM.

I put one of those radios in my truck, a Sony Xplod. I bought it on Ebay very reasonable and upgraded the truck speakers as well. Nice to be able to plug in my MP3 player to the USB port and have control over it through the radio, unlike the AUX port where it just plays itself. It is also nice to have the USB port to charge up things.

I did the same on my Tundra. Using some parts, I integrated it with my steering wheel controls, OEM amps, then added a Sirius/XM receiver module. In fact, I don't see any reason why you couldn't have XM in the RV going this route.

Steering wheel controls, no such luxury on my plain jane work truck. In fact I have crank down windows!

Look on the bright side, Lee. None of those pesky window motors to burn out!

Ok on the 29N there should be a DVD/CD/radio/ suround sound unit in the space above the corner cabinet just inside the door, there are or should be wires from the speakers in there and a subwoofer in that corner cabinet. Now they are not 12 volt, there is a 120v outlet in that cubby that you plug in the sterio unit into. We have been watching an RCA unit at Walmart, that is about 120 watts and is surround sound 5.1 that will repace it very nicely. After I said all that do you have ceiling speakers???
