Possible water leak

Good evening

I am in the process of tying to buy a 2013 Jayco x213. We are buying it out of state so the dealer is sending us lots of photos. In the front bunk section the wall paper has ripples in it but no staining. Could this be water? Or could the wallpaper just be peeling?
I have pictures of the outside of the trailer and the fiberglass doesn’t show any signs of delamination. The roof has been re-sealed they said.

Thank in advance everyone.

Matt

Possible W/L

Have you owned a TT before? I have owned 2 and IMHO that is definitely water
intrusion. My concern would be if the leak has been sealed, what about mold?

Would never consider taking some ones word that the leak "had been sealed".
Buyer beware!!!!

Matt,

Welcome to JOF

A number of years ago I dealt with a serious moisture intrusion condition with my prior 2005 Jayco Eagle that involved extensive wall/roof repair, but fortunately was covered under warranty.

IMO based on your photos you should walk away from that particular trailer.

Bob

Run away fast, that is a water leak, in time it will show up outside. Don't put your family into a leaking unit that will have mold in the walls. To many others out there to choose from

Thank you everyone. We did end up walking away from this. I appreciate all of your input.
We are looking at a new 2018 Jayco slx 264bh now.

That is a good choice to walk away. I do not mind a little work. But water can open a large can of headaches.

You will find a nicer unit.

Had similar rippling in the wardrobe closet and upper bunk region of our 2015 x213. Looks like the front running lights are where the leak is from. Make sure to seal the crap out of those.

Good call. If this happened to a trailer that I already owned then I'd probably fix it. At least I know what I have. I'd never buy one like this. You have no idea how bad this really is.

We had the same problem when looking at used trailers. We got a new SIX 264BH for not much more than any good used ones and less than many other used. Glad we did. Very happy with camper so far ( some minor problems).
And our dealer has been very good, with problems and questions.
