Sealed underbelly = freeze protection??

Although our TT has a sealed underbelly, I'm told that the furnace does not directly heat that space. (Jay Feather 23RL) I'm wondering if the inside is in use and heated, just how much freeze protection is actually being provided to the tanks and sub-floor plumbing. I would be interested in hearing others experiences.

Some, but not much as in theory the area is insulated both ways. Put a remote thermometer there and see the temps.

Would a lightbulb in that area and/or an electric blanket be sufficient if placed in the compartment?

It will freeze in the underbelly just as hard as the outside temperature. The chloroplast sheet is not an insulator. The furnace have usual more cutouts to install a heating duct which can be directed to the underbelly. Unless you remove the chloroplast from the underbelly and insulate with R12 and up you're just wasting the heat.
I insulated my TT with R20 and heating blanket on the FW tank and heat tape on the lines what are out there. The floor itself has usual a R7 insulation.

Aljo are you doing most of this on AC or DC?

Tank pads can be dual voltage, mine are 110V because have a 3000 watt Inverter. The same for the heat tape.
