TT delivery 185RB
I am getting ready to take delivery of a new 2014 185RB. What should I be looking for as far as problems at my delivery inspection? Any info would be appreciated, Thanks.

Great question. I wish I had asked it. I only thing I remember from our inspection/demo was how to plug in the power.
Here are a few items you should be aware of and try to remember:
- lock AND bolt door when pulling rig (ours opened)
- how to start water heater and stove
- how to shut off battery when you are not using TT (battery cut off switch and fuse)
- how to drain tanks when you "winterize"
- how to hook up TV (cable v air) & any internal buttons that must be pushed
- how/when to hook up gray and black water drain
- is drain hose incl & does it fit in storage compartment with end fittings
- tire pressure amount & where to place jack on frame when you have flat
- where the fuse/breaker box is and how to get at it (extra fuses)
- how much weight can you carry without overloading rig
- how to SLOWLY turn on propane tank & why
- how to turn on heat and ac and correctly operate
- how to determine amount of liquid in black tank when indicator lights do not work
- what outlets work when you are not hooked up to shore power.

I have the same TT except mine is 2015. We are having warranty work done on it, (after a month of use). First, not all the lights work or they blink off and on. The dinette chair when you walk into the unit got detached. The sizzle jack on the left side broke. The switch for the furnace broke after one use. The bed is so hard we bought a 4" topper for it. There is black soot coming out of it in the side near the front. Other than that, I love it. We put it on a campsite and cannot wait to get back to it all the time. The campsite is pretty empty and I look out to beauty when I look out the window. The other day chickens were surrounding the camper. Enjoy your TT and don't sweat the small stuff. Things could have been better with it, but most RV's, etc, have their quirks.

We purchased this same TT this summer and we LOVE it! Have your dealer explain the water heater by-pass operation very slowly as there are many valves to reposition during the winterization process. Another issue I've learned to deal with is lighting the fridge on LP. It takes several tries to get the LP line bled out going to the fridge due to it being very far from the LP tank. We removed the HEAVY stand alone dining table from our trailer and opted instead for 2 nice TV tables which store conveniently behind the sofa. Another word of caution - I found the TV mounting location decal not to be very accurate. I more or less had to go fishing for the 2 X 6 block of wood that was sandwiched in the closet wall.

I thought I would re-cap my delivery trip to Idaho to pickup our new trailer....1st off, we arrived in Nampa Sunday night and stayed at the Hampton suites in order to take delivery first thing Monday morning. Arrived at the dealer and of course it wasn't ready, so there was about 4 hrs of waiting, some of which was to have my controller installed...no big deal. We took off from the dealership around 12:30 or so, heading north thru S. Oregon and the Blue Mountains...lots of roadwork. The Silverado (Big Blue) pulled the rig like a champ. North across the Columbia river into S.E Washington, Tri-cities, Yakima (steep going over the top and dropping down to I-90 into Ellensburg) heading to Snoqualmie Pass and then....we saw the sign for impending rock blasting(1 hr+) wait time. We ditched plans for Snoqualmie and headed over Blewitt Pass for Hwy 2 and Stevens Pass to home. By this time we were both exhausted...thru Levenworth and over Stevens( uncommonly light traffic) to home in Arlington...about 11hrs, 600 miles or so. Got home and parked her. Still going over systems etc. and we will be taking it out next weekend for a dry camping shakedown close to home to a campground in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

Roadwarrior,
Great to hear that the return trip went without incident.
If the RV dealer installed/adjusted a WDH with your TV/TT combination, keep in mind that the WDH was adjusted to "unloaded" conditions. The WDH will have to be re-adjusted to "loaded" (ready to camp) conditions due to the effect of the added TV/TT cargo weights.
Hopefully the dealership provided you with the WDH documentation.
If you ever get a chance, a weigh-in visit at a CAT scale will dial-in your TV/TT combination for optimum towing characteristics and tell you everything you need to know...., here is a JOF link that will walk you through the process:

Just food for thought

We even have the same tow vehicle! Except mine is 2007. Judging by your trailer choice and tow vehicle choice I would say that you are a great judge of equipment...:-)

Congratulations! We took delivery of our 185RB last year.
Instead of taking notes while the tech gave us the orientation, I should have taken a video.
