Always use Antifreeze

I would like to be able to say " rookie mistake" but I'm 8 year practiced in winterizing my own....

But, I failed to ensure all water was drained from grey tank, and standing water in the pipe between tank and Knife Valve filled and froze.

Lesson learned.... Always dump a gallon of antifreeze down into the tanks and drain till you are sure.

That's ugly. Hope it's an easy repair.

Good advice....thanks for sharing.

One campground I dumped at was on a hill.....I threw down my tongue jack and still couldn't get the tanks clear....it happens.

I leave the slide gate open and the cap off while I'm maneuvering the trailer into my shop. By the time I get it pulled inside any residual water has found its way to the ground. A few days after pulling it in the shop I close the slide gate and put the caps back on.
