Atwood water heater not working gas or electric

Sorry if this has already been covered but I looked and didn't find it. We have a 2016 North Point 375 BHFS with an Atwood gas and electric water heater which stopped working yesterday.

We were boon docking and yesterday morning had the generator running and had both the gas and electric water heater switches on for showers, everything seemed to work fine - plenty of hot water. Shut water heater off - both switches, turned off generator and left for the day. Late evening returned to the camper, started everything up, turned on water heater but didn't pay attention to if we heard the gas burner or not. A couple hours later, turn on the hot water and it is cold, not even warm. Go look and the gas burner isn't on. Turn switch off and back on - nothing. Checked all the obvious things: gas-stove works, fridge switched over to propane and ran fine; checked breakers-nothing tripped but reset the one labeled for water heater anyway; checked fuses at panel inside camper-all good. Read the manual, no help there. Earlier today, generator ran for a few hours and the electric water heater switch was on but water never warmed up so it seems it isn't working on either gas or electric.

At a loss of what to do next. Counting on the knowledge of the forum to help us fix this so we can camp this weekend!

Since it doesn’t work on gas or electric I’d suspect the control board.

Last year mine wouldn’t work on either also (on shore power). I noticed a very small “error” light between the gas and 110 switches. I shut off the 12v and 110 to the WH and that reset whatever the light wS warning me about. Has happened only once and I haven’t a clue what caused it.

Thumbs up Problem Solved

Sometimes once the fix is known, it is too obvious. DH talked to service manager at dealership and $25 later we're good to go!

I sincerely hope you've solved your problem. There have been a number of posts here recently because of problems with the Atwood water heater control board.
