Entry Door Assist Handle Foam Grip
The foam grip on my assist handle has finally gotten bad enough for me to seek replacement. I have talked with numerous RV'ers about replacement tape and all say that it comes off and doesn't help for long. So I looked up the manufacturer of my unit, Stromberg Carlson. The name is right on top of the black mounting brackets. My unit is their Lend-A-Hand model AM-200. The replacement foam grip including bolts nuts and springs is Model FP-1001-R. Their price is $9.95 plus shipping. I ordered two and shipping was $5.00 total for both items.
Before ordering I checked eBay and Amazon and both wanted over $20.00 for one plus shipping. It isn't always cheaper at either of these two.
You do have to remove the mounting brackets from the side of the RV to install, but there are only two screws per bracket so that won't be a problem.
You can see from the pictures why I need a replacement. I probably waited a bit too long, but.........I'm retired and too busy to get to it. haha
