[QUOTE=Colorado03;17221]I have a 2011 Jay Feather Sport 165. Want to check wheel bearings and fitting on the Dexter Axle. My question is, do I have to remove the tire to get to the grease fitting? My unit has the chrome rims and a chrome colored plastic hub. I tried to pull the cap off but no luck. Don't want to break. Other units I had to remove the tire. Hub had a lip that was secured by the rim. Any help would be appreciated.[/QUOT
Any way you can post a pic? On my Jayflight equipped with the Dexter EZ lube hubs, I have chrome colored plastic hub caps that pry off. Behind that is the hub, with a rubber insert you also pry out exposing the zerk grease fitting and grease cavity. But I have the white steel wheels, not chrome. Perhaps someone with a similar setup will chime in.
