JayCommand / BMPro and light switches.
Does anyone know how the light switches are wired to work with the JayCommand / BM Pro?
So here's the scoop. I have a 2023 25RB. The bedroom and kitchen lights are connected to the JayCommand / BM Pro with a momentary toggle switch. You push the switch and it toggles the lights on or off. There is also two switches on the panel above the JayCommand controller that is supposed to turn on all living area (which is kitchen only) and bedroom lights respectively. They can also be turned on or off from the JayCommand controller or phone app.
The lights in the slide over the dinette and recliners are on regular SPST switches. They are not connected to the JayCommand/BMPro node. So I would consider those to be living room area lights as well, but wonder why they are wired to normal on/off SPST switches instead of into the JayCommand/BMPro node.
I've pulled the bedroom light switch out of the wall and it doesn't look like anything special on the switch. It has a 12v line coming in to it and a spliced line going out of it to feed power to the two lights over the bed. The lights also look exactly like the ones over the dinette and recliner, so I don't think they have anything special that pairs them with the node either.
What exactly is it that pairs the lights to the JayCommand/BMPro?
The JayCommand/BMPro node has more open spots to connect devices into. If I wire the dinette lights and recliner lights to the JayCommand/BMPro node, is there a way to enable them on the controller and in the app? And can I give them a name that makes sense?
