MaxxFan 7500K Chriping fix

I purchased a new MaxxFan 7500K w/remote mid-January and installed it. It worked great but then started making a chirping sound shortly after installation. I contacted MaxxFan and they recommended running it for 24hours at full speed to seat the bearings. Ran for about 16 and sound is now gone. Hopes this helps anyone that may experience this issue.

Interesting solution. I've had the same problem for years and it drives the wife nuts (I can't hear it without my hearing aids).

I didn't know these things had bearings as I thought it was just bushings, but I'll try it anyway.

Thanks for this. Installed one last year, I remember the chirping/hi pitch sound was annoying at low speeds for the first part of the season. As it was spring and temps were still low it took us a couple of months before we started running the fan at higher speeds. I can't remember if the noise went away but if it comes back I'll know what to do now.

We just picked up a second one for above our bed. I'll be sure to run it at max for a bit right after install.
