New and exciting Schwintek event!

Well we finally came to a sort of uneasy truce with our lurching, whining, twisting, stalling Schwintek slide. We've added extra rollers and are very careful to hold the button at the end of travel, and realign it occasionally.

We've gotten through this month.5 trip ok so far.

Now It closes normally, but after bouncing down the road, one side opens about 1/2" to 3/4". This happens every time we move now.

Motor? Gear skipping? ???

Hi
Did you know LCI offers a webinar course on this slide?
I am in the middle of it right now. It's knowledge for me to understand it.
They give you the clearance specs for slide to trailer side. Should be same distance front and back. If it's too close on front or rear it can bind the gears and semi-stall that motor. That means slide ends up racked or crooked in the hole.
If it's too loose it can jump a tooth in the track.
I would be checking that

Ours went back to factory first year under warranty. The reinforcement plates (4) on the inside of trailer where too thin of material and allowed the H rail in the trailer wall to twist. Thicker steel plates where installed and it's worked fine ever since
