First post here guys. I have a 2015 Jay swift 287 HBHE.

Took my trailer out for the first time this weekend. Running the fridge in Auto mode I found the green light blinking indicating that it is running in bypass mode. I believe the temperature sensor may be tripped or need replacement. I found the temp sensor along with metal tube and insulation online. The owners manual states this is a dealer fixable error. I have found some videos showing resetting the relay with a magnet. Im not sure if my fridge is the same model as those.

Do I really need to take it to the dealer? What should be my next step here? Should I just swap out the sensor and metal tube? Can this be done without removing the fridge?

Lots of issues with the norcold fridges. There are YouTube videos on this.
Be careful. If it was a run away condition a tech needs to see it.
If the unit has a leak it is a fire waiting to happen. Do some google searching and read up on it.

Thanks for the advise. I may try the magnet first to see if it trips again. Is there a preferred fridge for replacements?

Just an update. I found that the thermstor was not fully plugged in at the connector. I fully seated it and now fridge works perfect.
