Sanicon Problem - SLOW

New Fifth wheel. Ran the Sanicon on black tank for a long time. Could tell it was just trickling out but gauge said 1/3. Flushed it, same. Filled it to 2/3, ran Sanicon again, same thing. Even running it with the grey water doesn’t seam to fully drain. It will pump hard and fill the hose for a minute or two then acts like it’s empty and there’s nothing to pump, but gauge never drops below 1/3 on either tank. Anyone else have this problem before? How long does it normally take?

There is a gate valve before the SaniCon pump just checking to make sure you have it open.

Could be a bad reading on the panel. Mine drains pretty fast and pretty much as you described. It fills the hose for a brief time and then the tone changes indicating nothing more is flowing. The grey takes a while to find its way to the pump, but once it does, it’s also a pretty quick process.

I’ve tested it using the pump first and then an old fashioned gravity dump. The gravity dump always yields a little bit more fluid. So, while some fluid may be left behind it’s still “mostly” empty. Don’t trust the panel.

Coincidently, I tested mine yesterday with gray water dump. Seems, mice enjoy the taste of that hose also. Several holes spraying.

The hose expands as it's pumping. When it starts retracting back to original shape it appears it's emptying out and slowing flow to a trickle. When you hear the macerator have an up and down sound, it's done pumping.

I’m adding a clear section of hose today today to see flow. I I’ll dump again and turn water off to check level via toilet and compare with the gauges.

Detached the hose from the sewer connector, added a 2.5" male-to-male extension, added 2' 2.5" clear braided hose, connected back to the sewer connector. Easy and I really like being able to see the flow.

It pumps hard until the tank gets lows then slows to a trickle for a long time. Don't think it completely empties the tanks as the gravity drain does, and I think our meters suck, but that's normal I guess.
