Solar - Connection from Controller to Battery

So this is my first jump into solar and I've purchased this kit from Renogy. I want to have the ability to "quick connect" to the already supplied "solar ready" plug on the tongue of the trailer (I believe this is called a SAE plug). Am I correct in assuming I can Strip an end off the SAE connector plug and wire it directly into the solar controller to achieve my goal?

I'm new the forum and this is our first season with a trailer so I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of me!
