Solar Install

I'm getting ready to install solar on my 244BHSW. I'm curious, what is the spacing of the studs, how thick is the roof sheeting? Has anyone had luck with any method of fastening other than screws into studs (expansion nuts etc)? Can I just screws to the roof sheeting?

I would use a stud finder to actually locate the studs. In my case the ends of the plywood pieces are clearly defined and I would use those as a starting point.
