WiFi Ranger & weBoost

Wondering how many folks out there use WiFi Ranger and/or weBoost and if they are really worth the money. On the fence about purchasing as they are expensive and don’t want to be wasting money, or drilling needless holes in the roof to install.

Thanks in advance, and please be specific about which unit you’re referring to.

My opinion....

I have a weBoost and it works well in an area where I'm getting only one bar of coverage. No bars.... usually no service.

Now.... I refuse to put even one hole in my precious rv roof. I won't do it. period

If you have a ladder on the rv... that's a good place to mount an antenna.

I purchased the weboost last year and it definitely has helped with cell reception. We stayed a Beaver Bend last fall, where in the past we have had zero cell coverage. Last fall with the weboost we all had 3 bars on our AT&T cell phones & 4 bars on the Verizon hot spot. The DW needs cell service for her work, so it was worth the money for us.

Edit: Sorry, I should have added that I have the antenna mounted on the top of the rear ladder. I run the wire from the antenna into the 5er under the slide. No holes need to be put into the RV.

Go up in the search bar and type "weboost", you'll get a lot of hits. It's been discussed here quite a bit.

There's also a LOT of knowledge already sitting on this forum, just waiting to be tapped through the search function. Much more than what a single question posted would get.

Weboost for us, camped areas where at one point had no service and installed dams have service sands even enough for Netflix. Downside, kids figured it out and all kids of devices working now. Hahha. Can’t go wrong and yes, no holes, route the cable to the ladder and straight on up. Inside antenna leave free, found on ours have to move around sometimes.

Well worth the money when you consider safety and people being able to get ahold of you in emergency.

We have the WiFi Camp Pro Kit 2 as well and it helped with wifi signals.
Mount it atop a pole attached to my back ladder. Then run the cable in thru the power cord outlet
