Anyone buy new GMC 2500HD lately?

I am looking at selling my 2005 Duramax for a new one. Wondering if anyone can post what MSRP vs. out the door prices they have gotten within the last few months.

A friend of mine purchased a 2500 LTZ a few months ago. He went thru Costco's auto program. Sorry, I don't know what he paid, but he said he "felt" like he got a great deal, plus he said he got a Costco gift card for using the auto program.

If it was an LTZ then it is either a 2006 or a 2007 prior to the 2007.5

Actually, the 2016 Chevy trucks have the LTZ as an option. The options now are WT, LT, LTZ and High Country. GMC has Sierra, SLE and SLT.

My bad...It wasn't a "GMC", it's a 2016 "Chevy". To me, they are the same vehicle!

i bought a GMC SLT in March. I bought with employee discount so I can't help with what your price might be. i would recommend however that you look at a 3500 instead of 2500. You can still get srw in 3500. Upgrade to 3500 was only about $1200. The Duramax takes a lot of payload away from the 2500.

I thought the same thing before I started looking into them.

I was originally looking at the 3500HD SRW trucks, but with the options I want, it is like looking for a unicorn. In all of Arizona, there are only a handful of the 2500HD's with the interior color I want (tan - cocoa/dune) and the chrome towing mirrors. Seems most of the dealers order the 3500's as a work truck interior or the Denali. I could order, but the deals are not there for that, and buying the Denali would be nice, but I don't think it is worth the extra $6000 for the minor differences. I don't really need a 3500 either, but it would be nice. If I every go that route, I will probably go with the long bed DRW's.

Can you give me your price anyway? I think the dealers are trying to score the employee price for me. Thanks.

Oops! I eyes saw LTZ and my old brain saw LBZ. I was thinking of the 2006-2007.5 Duramax engine designation.

Thanks for correcting me.

You should be able to get 10k or so off msrp if you shop around. I ordered my truck as I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere in the county...and I still got 12k off msrp if I recall
