Nissan Titan

I own a titan, with everything properly adjusted with the hitch and the camper with empty tanks on a 212-QBW. It tows fine on short distances usually just under 100 miles from home. I'm thinking about heading down south for a week in south Tennessee, probably around 600 miles from here just wondering how long I should drive before giving the truck a break. I know to watch tranny temp, and engine temp. Steep hills in the trip down in WV and trying to stay on interstates. I drove it before in a car it was around 9 hours, never in a truck with a camper. I know it will be a lot longer.

You shouldn’t have to stop just to give the truck a break unless the camper is too much for the truck. So watch temps like u mentioned and stop if it gets hot. Besides, the truck will get breaks when u stop for fuel.

XD or regular Titan? I’d say you need to worry more about breaks for yourself, the truck in any configuration will not struggle with that camper no matter how long you drive it.

^. Fuel and Bladder stops will probably dictate the breaks more than the Titan. Our old 07’ was a workhorse.

An old friend of mine that traveled quite a bit for his job told me once a formula for figuring travel time on lomg trips. Take the distance, 600 miles for example and double that number so in this example, 600 miles would take 12 hours driving. I have checked this several times and it is nearly always correct. For me this example would be a 2 day trip of 300 miles each day.
