Upping TV tire size

This post is relates to our fifth wheel and pin weight. We tow with signature truck. Has anyone upped their tow vehicle tire to gain a higher weight capacity? I understand the axle gross weight ratings but this would give the tires a higher safety margin. The Michelin Defender in 2 sizes and ups the capacity from 3640lbs to 4080lbs each. That's an increase of 880lbs for the two rear tires. Tire diameter increases 1.8".

I'd go and have with the larger/weight carrying capacity. It only adds .9 inches(in your case) to the height.
Since the use marginal capacities when assembled.
Check the speed rating and get the highest you can.
Balance, proper air(psi) and a high speed rating will give you peace of mind.
Google tire comparison calculator and learn a bit about being able to size from one size to another and how height and width stack up.
In your case the 1.8 increase in tire diameter only gives you .9 inch height increase.
