Zip Breakaway Cable

Has anyone used this breakaway cable? I like the concept but am afraid it would accidentally engage the brakes because of the constant tension on the cable.

IMO, VERY unlikely the curled cord could pull the switch. Those switches take A LOT of pull to withdraw the plunger. Try pulling one and see what you think. It won't hurt anything; you just reinsert the plunger.

I have used one for years, first with my tongue pull and now with my fifth wheel. Never a problem.

I have the four footer. If I bought it again, I'd get the six footer as it would allow me to get too a point on the truck frame rather than just to the receiver... but it works well.
