Question 2005 Jay Feather EXP19H stinky slinky storage (called X19H now I think)

My sewer hose doesn't fit in the sewer hose compartment. Has anyone done a mod similar to this one?

Just Jeff's RV Page

I don't think I have the same access since the hybrid's sewer hose storage is higher up. How would i get access to that area? It seems like such a waste to only have it go partway through. I'd prefer to extend that spot than add on to my little campy.

I'm thinking about one of the aftermarket carriers attached to the bumper perhaps. Just not sure how to choose one that will fit the Thetford Titan hose I have.

Thanks for any help you can give!

So yes, this is an easy mod for the X19H although it will be below the wall rather than through the wall. His GH walls come down considerably below the frame rails allowing the neat door.

The picture shows it installed with zip ties. This was only for the first couple of trips until I was satisfied with the location and operation. It is now held in place with galvanized metal strapping bolted around the frame rails (although the zip ties are still there too in case a strap fails).

This location is great as it is only a few inches away from the sewer outlet, very easy to slide the hose in and out and attach.

I found this cool video:

I like how he did it. It doesn't seem that much less expensive than an off the shelf solution though. Still researching.
