First big outing...ouch!!
Well I just got back from 13 days of Camping (dry and serviced), everything works as designed...some better than others namely the white support bars for the bunk end roofs..after repeatedly bonking my head getting into bed...my daughter finally said..."Dad I wonder how many other people have hit their heads?"...I replied..."Not sure? I will ask" Is there a work around, mod....or lesson learned?

I don’t think we have ever bumped our heads on them yet.

I never hit my head, but I was a pop up camper person for years, so I am used to them being there. Put yellow police tape on the bars maybe.

Wear a bike helmet to bed? :hihi:
Not much you can do unless you want to pad it with pipe insulation or something.

I'm like the other folks who never bonk their heads on them.

The wife said she got hurt in two or three places - i told her to stop going to those places.
My Starcraft 14RT seems to pretty high up and don't really get in the way... After the past five years I cant think of a time where we have bumped our heads... We also sleep sideways in the tent bed where the one in the back has to crawl over the one in the front. I end up in the back all the time. Momabear is always getting up to do something...
I can see where younger folks might get into the supports as our kids used to sit in the bed all the time doing things. I have bumped the hanging light-fan a couple of times and finally just quit using them. We use the O2-COOL 10-inch fan sitting on a cabinet top pointed that way... Moves alot more air...
I ran those ROPE lights (Lowes) up on the ceiling right at the top of the bed entrance behind the curtain valance. I have these on a hand held push button FOB control. They give off a nice glow light for the bed areas and make great night lights... The remote control units are the X10 series controllers (Home Automation). I use these for lights and also for motion detectors/porch light for the outside of the trailer.

Or of the fun noodle is too big you could use the grey pipe insulation found at Lowes/HD etc.. I'd get the kind that has the self adhesive tape for a permanate install plus its grey, not floresent green.

Thanks gang...I guess not going to bed with one too many beers would help too! I found that the portion that curls down and returns is what I have hit..in the back bunk its behind the bathroom wall so no issues...but I guess I will need to be more cognoscente.....

Yeah, she said "Shut Up!" and I thought she said "Speak Up!". And that's how the fight started.....
Haven't hit my head on those things yet but the awning arms have my number.
