Hybrid vs lake lot?

Well the wife loves the atmosphere and homely feeling at a certain campsite and a lot just opened up for yearly rent...

Does anyone leave their hybrid year round at a lot? Looking for some feedback...

A friend has a seasonal. When we where there last year, there was a PU on a seasonal. He stated there are a few that have come and gone over the years. What he stated, most of them complain about leaving the units open as the canvas degrades from the sun, and they are either gone in a few years or have a new hard wall unit.

The PU I saw the canvas looked horrible, and I would have guessed the unit was only a few years old.

If it was my unit, I would close it up every time I would leave IF the canvas was dry.

I would have no issues closing them up, maybe tarp them so if it does rain the canvas would still be dry and debris free...

Why not just close up and cover it? Seems like that would be the way to go.

We are trying it out for the first time this year. I ordered Pop Up Gizmos to protect the bunkends, they just came in the mail today! I'm excited to put them on and see how that works, since we are close by and want to just drop in a lot, I'm thinking we will keep the bunkends open more than closed. The guy I ordered the PUGs from said they will degrade faster with a seasonal, maybe only get 2 years out of them, but better to wear out his covers than my bunkends.

You can also get the PUGs bunkend liners and install them on the outside of the camper. This will protect the side walls of the bunkends.

We have a seasonal site and have just traded our 19h for a 23m this year. We spent 2 years setting the ends and gizmos (you'll love them el.jefe!) and then putting it all away each time we camped. My husband has a back injury so we finally decided to look for something with a walk around bed instead of a roll-over-the-wife one
We were the only hybrid there for the first two years but a PU has rented near us this year. She sets up and closes up each time she goes, and everyone tarps their entire site high up in the trees to prevent needles / sap / pinecones from making a mess...also allows for fires in the rain. Our seasonal is a two hour drive and we probably will never go back to non-seasonal...it just works best for us.

We are on a seasonal site for the first time this year. We close the ends everytime we leave. This last weekend we did leave them open only because it rained all weekend, but we are only 30 mins away so we returned on the monday to close them. We also have the pop up gizmos.
