Jayco DX Journey

Apologies for my ignorance I would like help understanding my new Journey DX
I purchased two months ago and cannot get answers to the following.
1. The toilet cassett procedure.
Take the cassett out and place blue Thetford in as stated. Then approx 3 litres of water. Then place cassett back in enclosure.
Is this all you do and where does the flush water come from is it automatic from my water tanks.

2. I have an A/C button on top of my fridge. What is its purpose in conjunction with the Air Conditioner.

Thank You for now, I have more to learn. Is there anywhere I can pay for someone to explain the whole van workings as on delivery Jayco was too quick for us to understand. But Love our van.

Jim,

Congratulations on your new rig from Illinois!

I have not seen many forum members from Australia, so hopefully someone can help you with your questions as your systems might be different than they are in the States.

Some popup campers have cassette toilets. I owned a popup, but we didn't have a toilet so I can't help you there.

I suspect the AC button on the fridge is to switch it from DC (battery) to AC (shore) power. Many RV fridges in the States allow you to switch to AC power from DC or LP Gas as a power source.

I hope this helps some!

Scott

We had a cassette in ours that was not a built in. The top held the water and you know what the bottom holds. If yours is a built in the water may come from your built in fresh water tank the also serves your sink. Not sure on that model.
Contact Jayco and ask if there is a service manual available for your DX. If it is new you should have gotten one from the dealer or it is hidden in a closet or drawer somewhere.

Your dealer should have showed you these things during the PDI (pre delivery inspection).
Happy camping!
