Outside Power Cord Stuck

I have a Jayco 16XRB hybrid and the external power cord got a kink or something in it and I can only pull the cord out partially. How can I get the cord unjammed?

Work it back and forth while twisting it.

No panels you can remove to get to the cord storage area?

You should be able to remove the plastic cover that houses the cord for a little more access and wiggle room, it can always be re siliconed back on.

Agree, easy fix. The cord can at at some time will get wrapped up in itself and won't fully extend. Problem is worse in cold weather when cord gets stiff. Remove the plastic entry cover and reach inside to fuss with the tangle. You should be able to get it freed enough to pull it out.

My solution after having this happen several times was to cut the oem cord leaving about 5'. Then install male and female plugs to each end and you turn the longer section into an extension and the short end is easy to shove back into the opening. The 5' length is enough to hang the connection under the TT after plugging it into the extension so you can keep it out of the direct weather. Easy $20 fix.

If all else fails, try removing the fuse box from inside the trailer. You'll probably find the cord all bunched up behind it. Mine is easy; just four screws.

X2. I try to always fully extend the cord each time I use it and feed it back carefully to avoid any twisting.
