Refrigeration issue.

Has anybody experienced your refrigerator running warm when on electric? Cools fine on propane but notice when on electric it sits around 50 during the day and hits 37 in the morning.

Model RM2551

All electrical has the proper function and voltage. We noticed a wire going to the fan for the thermostat but doesnt show in the schematic.

When it is warm/hot outside they do work better on gas since the boiler gets hotter. Not sure about the extra wire.

I’d suspect the electric heating element(s) may be to blame. Search YouTube for vids on diagnosing fridge problems. There’s a resistance range that the heating element should have. If that is good, the wiring and connections are tight and not corroded I’d suspect the control board.

Refrigerator issue

I remember a while back that someone suggested hooking up a couple of computer fans to the refrigerator to help cool it off and make it more efficient. Does anyone remember this? Where would you connect the fans?

I will be living in my trailer for a couple of months in Florida and I am concerned. I am going to make some bunk end covers to help keep the inside cooler.

Any suggestion will be a help.

Thanks

I hooked up a fan package I bought on Amazon to move the air around inside of the fridge. When temps hit 100 outside there just wasn't any cold to move around. They do work well to keep stuff that is in the door shelves, etc. as cold as the rest.
My next item is to add fans to exhaust the heat from the outside coils. When it went over 90 my fridge just did not cool very well.

Yes. The fans to move the external heat from the coils is what I want to do. I know Florida heat will be very hard to on the fridge.

Thanks
