ABS pipe cement

I am modifying the end of my black water line with a Cam Lock connection. I have not been able to find any specific ABS pipe cement, But I have found multi purpose cement for either PVC or ABS. Any feed back if its OK to use the multi purpose cement or should I continue search for ABS specific cement.
Thanks in advance

OATEY makes an ABS specific cement, Lowes and a lot of other places carry it $5 or so.

I would use the specific cement to make sure of a good bond with no leaks. The fits all kinds will work, but maybe not quite as well. Don't want a leak!

It's ABS Glue not cement. It's black and PVC glue is clear. Both will work and as the others have said you can buy it at any hardware store. Apply the glue to both surfaces and as you slip them together give about a half turn and hold the pipe and fitting together for a few seconds and you will get a leak proof connection.
