Battery cables

In my battery box there are 2 cables, 1 white and one black. Which is the positive

There are no guarantees and it would be best to check and see which one goes to ground.

However, when white and black cables and wires exists in an RV, it is common that the black that is the hot + wire and white is the negative - wire. When black and red exist together, the red is most commonly the pos + wire and black the negative.

So particular to your question, the black "should" be the + and white the neg-. ~CA

Take an OHM meter and measure the resistance of each cable to chassis ground. The one that reads zero is the ground cable.
