Best product to clean black streaks?

What do you use that makes quick work of black runoff streaks?
I tried typical car wash soap, no luck.
Turtle wax bug & tar remover. Helped a little, but not 100%.

Apply Mop & Glo to the roof once or twice a year with a household sponge mop and eliminate black streaks.

"Totally awesome" cleaner is the best for black streaks.
Get it for $1 at the dollar store.

I've never used it but a family member recently told me he uses Camco Black Streak Remover and he said it works great.

Also, washing the roof often will help but not totally eliminate black streaks...

I've been very happy with Simple Green in a spray bottle. It's non-toxic and biodegradable.

x2 for La's Totally Awesome. I use it all the time and it absolutely destroys the black streaks. No rubbing..nothing. Just wipes off. Super cheap and works fantastic. Amazon sells it as well.

Thanks TWP723! LA's Totally Awesome is $2 cheaper at amazon than Simple Green... I may have to give it a try when it's time for more.

No problem! Just be sure to wax the area after!

I've tried a lot of products including all the ones listed above. I've found that nothing works without a liberal application of elbow grease.

Well except perhaps a flamethrower- that's pretty effective on black streaks but you can't use the RV afterwards.

Yeah I had hopes of finding something I could just spray on and then hit it with a water hose..

I'm vertically challenged so getting all the way up to the top sucks lol

Well the last time I washed my trailer I got a long handled car wash brush from walmart that had a tank on it for whatever you wanted to put in it wash wise. It has a valve that you can turn on and of so when you want to rinse you just turn the valve to off position. I used a heavy duty all purpose cleaner and it worked great and I never had to touch a ladder.

Totally Awesome takes no time at all. DW does the low side, I do the high. Team effort, minimal scrubbing. Works well.

I use the hand cleaner you can buy at auto parts stores. I think it is called "Goop". You have to use the product without grit in it though; It is just a tan to whitish colored cream. I had the idea after thinking about what I was trying to remove which is a degradation by product of rubber aka petroleum product. I have an aluminum sided trailer so I don't know if it will work on fiberglass rv or not. A little rubbing with a clean cloth and whala it's off. It even leaves a protective film and gloss to the aluminum after wiping off. I used this stuff to remove all of the oil/dirt on my recently aquired 1947 Singer 201-2 sewing machine. The Singer looks beautiful once again.

Totally Awesome $1 at the dollar store is great but as stated it strips off everything... you will have even more work by having to re-wax the entire TT.. don't forget DO NOT use it in the sun or when hot it will streak.. on my boat if I use it on the vinyl I have to use liberal amounts of 303 to get the vinyl supple again...

PO gave me some soap that removed the black streaks Harvey professional cleaner and black streak... I haven't used it but if I do I would wax as I am sure it will strip off wax...

if you keep it waxed you should not need any heavy duty cleaners... even a good liquid wax will keep it easy to clean.. I had to buff seal and wax my whole trailer to remove the oxidation now it looks like a brand new TT...

I mixed up some Lestoil and rubbed it on then cleaned off with a wet rag, and finally rinse. This seemed to make quick work of most of the black stains. Did have to work a little harder on some of the more stubborn ones, but really this helped tremendously and the camper went from looking its age (it's a 2004) to having some much needed sparkle.

Gentle application of a cleaner wax to remove and then I keep my unit saturated in 303 Aerospace Protectant. With the 303 saturation, the streaks wash off with car wash soap.
