Chemists? I have a dumb question....

At Home Depot, they have no less than 6 bleeches. Splashless, Disinfecting, Outdoor, Germicidal, Sanitizing, etc....

I would personally shy away from splashless, for RV use just because I assume it has something else in it.

The question is, which one of these bleeches should I be using to sanitize my fresh water tank? Does it matter? What's the difference?

I swear they used to just say 'Household Bleech' years ago.

Look for the word "Disinfecting" on the label. As others have stated avoid the unscented and splashless varieties.

A couple weeks ago when I was disinfecting my system I realized that I had brought splashless. So we headed to a middle of nowhere gas station convenience store to hopefully buy plain bleach.

I mentioned to my wife I wanted to ask the clerk if a gallon was enough to hide blood stains or if I should buy two gallons.

Being an improv comedian is dangerous in real life lol

Depends on how many victims there were, and how big the stains are.
